À trous wavelet transformation
This filter performs a hierarchical decomposition of an image into a series of scale layers, also known as wavelet planes.
Tip
This is commonly used to enhance details in planetary imaging where we can choose the scale of detail we want to highlight.
Before starting, one needs to choose a number of plans and click on Execute.
Then you will be able to adjust each layer's details with dedicated sliders.
NoteThere are two types of Wavelets: Linear and BSpline.⚓
Both methods give very close results but BSpline is a bit better, but slower.
