Enhanced Correlation Coefficient Maximization (planetary-surfaces)
It is based on the enhanced correlation coefficient maximization algorithm.
This method is more complex and slower than Image Pattern Alignment but no selection is required. It is good for moon surface images registration.
Tip
Shifts at subpixel precision are saved in the sequence file. No new sequence is created. Note however that shifts at pixel precision will be used for stacking.
Warning
Although the rotation is possible with this algorithm, it was decided to only allow for a detection of translation.
