Equalisation of CFA flats
ConceptEqualisation of CFA flats⚓
Greyflat
A small region is taken in the centre of the CFA flat and the average of each channel is made.
This avoids distorting the statistics because of a possible too big vignetting.
Once this is done, the coefficients that will be used to "flatten" the flat are calculated to make it neutral and monochrome.
The consequence is that the flat no longer interacts with the colorimetry of your images and you find beautiful green images (2 times more green filters in the Bayer matrix).
In the graphical interface, checking Equalize CFA allows you to do this during pre-processing.
