Note

All supported formats can be selected at the same time and will be converted into a sequence of files starting with the generic name you specified just below.

The file names created will be in the form Name_XXX, where XXX is the number of each image in the sequence

Warning

The Debayer button must be unchecked in order to convert RAW files to CFA

Warning

FITS monochrome images, a necessary step for pre-processing digital camera images.

Tip

Due to the use of the Bayer matrix on the sensors, the colour images contain interpolated data and are therefore unsuitable for proper pre-processing. The following image shows a small portion of a CFA image.

Note that the Bayer matrix scheme (RGGB in this example) is visible.
